Testicular sperm extraction is a procedure performed when the patient is under anesthesia, and involves the urologist removing a sample of tissue from the testicles in order to harvest sperm in the case of azoospermia.
Azoospermia
The urologist makes a small incision in the testis to retrieve a tissue sample in the hopes that it contains sperm for fertilization. It is an outpatient procedure performed when the patient is under anesthesia.
