Microsurgical epididymal sperm aspiration is a procedure in which sperm is collected from an epididymal tube within the scrotum in order to make fertilization possible.

What happens during the procedure:

The urologist makes a scrotal incision and uses a microscope to locate an epididymal tube to extract sperm for fertilization. Patients are put under general anesthesia for the procedure.
