Transurethral resection of a bladder tumor is a procedure in which the urologist diagnoses or treats a cancerous bladder tumor attached to the bladder wall. TURBT can be used to treat many different bladder disorders.
Bladder cancer and other bladder disorders
The urologist inserts a scope through your urethra into your bladder to remove or find any tumor attached to the bladder wall. This is an outpatient procedure and usually requires the patient to be under anesthesia.
Our physicians are experienced in treating the complete range of urologic conditions and diseases, from kidney stones and sexual dysfunction to prostate cancer, incontinence and infertility.
