Peyronie’s Disease occurs in about 6% of men. There are multiple reasons why one may develop Peyronie’s Disease but it is most commonly due to minor injury/trauma to the penis. This results in scar tissue buildup underneath the skin of the penis, called a fibrous plaque, which can cause curved erections. Sometimes this condition can be painful.
